Kallitype (palladium toned) on Hahnemuhle Platinum Rag. Image 8 × 10 in., sheet 11 × 14 in.
Little Stars is printed as palladium-toned kallitype. Each sheet is brushed by hand with iron and silver salts and exposed in direct contact with a negative, so the image forms in the paper itself rather than on its surface.
After developing, the silver image is toned in palladium, which deepens its blacks and gives it lasting stability. The edges carry the marks of the brush, and no two prints are exactly alike.
Each print is signed on the front and comes with an archival mat and backing board. This is part of an edition of 25.
